Tiverity Supports Interfaith Outreach Home Through Elevate Program

According to the National Alliance to End Homelessness, there are over 600,000 homeless families in America, and over 7,000 in the Metro Atlanta area. That is why many Tiverity team members, including all of their top executives and their families, recently participated in an event to lend a hand to a local transitional home. On Saturday, May 19th, 2012, Tiverity sponsored a home repair initiative and cookout for the Interfaith Outreach Home.

Interfaith Outreach Home, located at 5200 Buford Highway, Atlanta, GA 30040, is a non-profit organization founded in 1989 to provide a safe, secure, and nurturing environment for homeless families. They help families with children recover from the devastating effects of homelessness and help them return to self-sufficiency.

"The actual Outreach home was discovered not far from our offices, and literally right here in our own back yard, said Natalia Honch, a Tiverity IT Specialist and champion for the event. "After meeting two of the nicest women you will ever meet, Debora Walker-Little, the Executive Director of the home, and Singne Walker, the Administrator and Office Manager, I knew we could definitely have a positive impact on the lives of the 10 families, including 15 children, living in the apartment homes."

Tiverity began their journey with the Outreach home after an initial meeting in March of 2012, when they discovered an immediate need to fill a refrigerator for a new family that would be entering into the IOH community. At that point, the Tiverity team knew they wanted to do more. The recent home repair and cookout event consisted of many Tiverity team members and their families painting and repairing fences, pulling out an old barbecue that was a danger and an eye sore, donating hundreds of pounds of food, clothing and two new barbeques to replace the old one. They enjoyed a day long cookout with the resident families and children of the Interfaith Outreach Home.

Tiverity employees actively participate in many such events and volunteer programs fashion coats throughout the year through the company's Elevate Program, which was created to provide a vehicle for Tiverity employees to contribute to and have an active and positive impact on Atlanta area communities. "It's part of our Elevate program mission statement, and we truly do believe that we as individuals and as a team have the ability and responsibility to elevate the communities in which we live and work," said Pete Schamberger, Co-founder and CEO of Tiverity.

The Myths Taught Concerning The Separation Of Church And State

The phrase "separation of church and state" has been used so often by courts and other organizations that many believe it to be a part of the First Amendment of the Constitution. The phrase, however, is nowhere stated in the Constitution or other founding documents. The First Amendment was never intended to remove God from the government. The First Amendment does say, "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof. . ."

The First Amendment is a constitutional prohibition of a government sponsored religion. The founders' purpose was to prevent the formation of a single denomination created and operated by the government as had occurred in Great Britain with the Church of England. The First Amendment simply prohibits the U.S. government from creating and operating a church or interfering with the religious practices of its citizens.

In an attempt to eroded and destroy the religious principles on which America was founded, some have misapplied the First Amendment to mean that any religious activity in public is unconstitutional using the fabricated disguise of "separation of church and state." This has now evolved into court ordered bans which have falsely declared it unconstitutional to pray in school or at public meetings, unconstitutional to display the Ten Commandments in schools and other government buildings.

Many are actively seeking legislation which will exclude any mention of God or any display of religious connotation in the public square. Such religious exclusion is undoubtedly counter to the intentions of the First Amendment and the founding fathers. God is the foundation upon which the American republic was built. Its currency bears the inscription of its motto, "In God We Trust," and citizens pledge allegiance to a "Nation under God." President Eisenhower said of these words in the pledge of allegiance, "They will help us to keep constantly in our minds and hearts the spiritual and moral principles which alone give dignity to man, and upon which our way of life is founded."

GOD'S HAND IN THE FOUNDING OF AMERICA

The Founding Fathers relied upon and called upon God for assistance. They frequently declared that God's hand was working through them in the founding of America. James Madison commonly called the Father of the Constitution, recognized God's hand in the rising of America. He concluded his inaugural address as President of the United States on March 4, 1809 with this statement, ". . . we have all been encouraged to fell in the guardianship and guidance of the Almighty Being whose power regulates the destiny of nations, whose blessings have been so conspicuously displayed to the rising of this republic, and to whom we are bound to address our devout gratitude for the past, as well as our fervent supplications and best hopes for the future."

In a motion for daily prayers in the Constitutional Convention, Benjamin Franklin declared, "God governs in the affairs of men. And if a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without his notice, is it probable that an empire can rise without his aid? We have been assured, sir, in the sacred writings that 'except the Lord build the house, they labor in vain that build it.' I firmly believe this, and I also believe without his concurring aid we shall succeed in this political building no better than the builders of Babel."

GEORGE WASHINGTON-SERVANT RAISED UP AND PROTECTED BY GOD

George Washington was born in what is now modern day Virginia on February 22, 1732 to Mary Ball and Augustine Washington. George Washington's character was formed and developed early in his youth. His parents instilled in him the values found in the Bible. At a very early age George Washington was required to memorize the Ten Commandments. George's father made it crystal clear that a member of the Washington family does not lie, steal, or cheat. These early lessons prepared him for the inspired missions he completed later in his life.

In 1754, Washington, age 22, was a colonel in the British army and fought in many battles during the French and Indian war. One such battle was the battle at the Monongahela on July 9, 1755 in which the British were ambushed by a party of the French and Indians. The British suffered a decisive defeat with 714 of the 1,300 soldiers being killed or wounded while only 60 of the French and Indians were killed or wounded. During the battle, all of the mounted officers of the British army were slain or disabled except for Washington. This made him an obvious and important target as he moved about on horseback commanding the soldiers.

Dr. James Craik, a military surgeon, who witnessed the events of the battle, recorded this regarding Washington, "I expected every moment to see him fall. His duty and situation exposed him to every danger. Nothing but the superintending care of Providence could have saved him from the fate of all around him."

Following the battle, Washington wrote to his brother, John, saying, ". . . by the all-powerful dispensations of Providence, I have been protected beyond all human probability, or expectation; for I had four bullets through my coat, and two horses shot under me, yet escaped unhurt, though death was leveling my companions on every side of me!"

An Indian warrior who played a leading part in this bloody battle stated, "Washington was never born to be killed by a bullet! For I had seventeen fair fires at him with my rifle, and after all could not bring him to the ground." Another distinguished young Indian warrior, Redhawk, became acquainted with a doctor, Daniel Craig. In a conversion with the doctor, Redhawk inquired what young officer it was who rode with great speed from post to post during the action. The doctor replied, "Colonel Washington." Redhawk immediately stated, "I fired eleven deliberate shots at that man, but could not touch him. I gave over any further attempt, believing he was protected by the Great Spirit, and could not be killed."

In 1758, Washington resigned from active military duty and worked as a Virginia planter and politician. In 1770, Colonel Washington and some woodmen were locating lands in Kanawha, present day Ohio and West Virginia, when they were approached by a group of Indians. One of the Indians who led the attack at Monongahela on the British 15 years earlier approached Washington and said through an interpreter, "I am a chief and ruler over many tribes. My influence extends to the waters of the great lakes, and to the far Blue Mountains. I have traveled a long and weary path, that I might see the young warrior of the great battle. It was on the day, when the white man's blood mixed with the streams of our forest, that I first beheld this chief [pointing to Washington]: I called to my young men and said, mark yon tall and daring warrior?. . . Quick, let your aim be certain, and he dies. Our rifles were leveled, rifles which, but for him, knew not how to miss—'twas all in vain, a power mightier far than we, shielded him from harm. He cannot die in battle. I am old, and soon shall be gathered to the great council-fire of my fathers, in the land of shades, but ere I go, there is a something bids me speak in the voice of prophecy. Listen! The Great Spirit protects that man, and guides his destinies—he will become the chief of nations, and a people yet unborn will hail him as the founder of a mighty empire."

The prophecy of the Indian chief would soon be fulfilled as Washington took a leading role in the growing resistance of the American colonies to British rule in the early 1770's. Fighting began on April 19, 1775 with the Battles of Lexington and Concord to begin the Revolutionary War. On June 14, 1775, congress created the Continental Army and selected Washington as commander-in-chief. The fight for freedom and the creation of a mighty empire had begun.

Washington led the Continental Army in numerous battles. In each battle, Washington escaped unharmed. The Continental Army suffered much sickness, privations and death over the eight years of the Revolutionary War, but Washington's courage, will, and reliance on the power and guidance of the Almighty led the colonies to an eventual victory over the Kingdom of Great Britain. In 1783, the Treaty of Paris officially ended the Revolutionary War and a new Nation was born, even the United States of America. To bring about this noble purpose, God raised up, protected and guided George Washington.

After victory, there were desires by some to make Washington king. The first Congress voted to pay Washington a salary of $25,000 a year (approx. $500,000 in 2006 dollars). Washington, however, chose to continue his work as an unpaid servant of the people for during his years as commander-in-chief of the Continental Army he took no pay. He would do the same during his 8 years as the first President of the United States. He exemplified the word of the Savior found in the Bible, "But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant."

In 1797, as he ended his presidency, Washington delivered a farewell address which emphasized the proper role and function of government. In this address he stated, "Of all the dispositions and habits, which lead to political prosperity, religion and morality are indispensable supports. In vain would that man claim the tribute of patriotism, who should labor to subvert these great pillars of human happiness. . . It is substantially true, that virtue or morality is a necessary spring of popular government." Washington had completed his divinely inspired work and would shortly be taken home to the God who gave him life.

On December 14, 1799, at age 67, George Washington died, but the Nation he brought to life lives on. At his death, Congressman Henry Lee said of Washington, "First in war, first in peace, and first in the hearts of his countrymen. . . Correct throughout, vice shuddered in his presence and virtue always felt his fostering hand; the purity of his private character gave effulgence to his public virtues. . . Such was the man for whom our nation mourns."

Washington was a patriot whose soul did joy in the liberty and freedom of his country. A man more concerned with deeds than words, who fought and labored exceedingly for his people. Through his firm faith in Christ and selfless devotion to country, he lived his motto, "For God and my Country."

CONCLUSION

The famous French historian Alexis de Tocqueville traveled to American in the early 1800's to find out what made America great. He said, "I sought for the greatness and genius of America in her commodious harbors and her ample rivers, and it was not there; in her fertile fields and boundless prairies, and it was not there; in her rich mines and her vast world of commerce, and it was not there. Not until I went to the churches of America and heard her pulpits aflame with righteousness did I understand the secret of her genius and power. Amer women's coats ica is great because she is good, and if America ever ceases to be good, America will cease to be great."

Job Duties Of Cabin Crews

The job of a flight attendant begins even before a flight. It includes preparation the day before the flight, the day of the flight, during and after the flight.

First of all, the crew must attend a pre-flight briefing on the day before each scheduled flight, to gather relevant data on the upcoming flight, such as its departure time, flight number and route, model of the aircraft and every piece of equipment on it; go through the roles each crew play in emergency situations, draw up a plan of action for the entire crew in handling incidents such as a hijack, etc.

On the day of the flight, the crew must board the aircraft 80 minutes in advance to carry out pre-flight duties, namely to conduct safety checks, prepare the cabin for the passengers and ensure all meals and supplies are on board.

The crew check all equipment to make sure that they are in working condition, including equipment controlled by the passengers' remote controls, such as reading lights, attendant's call buttons, tray tables, seat reclining levers; and those on the cabin crew's service panels, e.g., switches for music and different modes of lighting, head sets, etc. Special attention must be given to the pre-flight safety checks: ensure that all emergency equipment are fully functional, volume of oxygen in the oxygen tank is sufficient, fire extinguishers are brand new, pressure of the aircraft evacuation slide is at the correct level.

Before the passengers board the plane, the cabin crew also need to prepare the galley; monitor the quantity and quality of meals, count the stock of cutlery and supplies; prepare the lavatories, ensure the supplies are fully stocked, e.g., face towels, toilet rolls, soap, perfume, toilet seat covers, etc.; prepare the beverages such as coffee, tea, sugar, creamer are made available, cold drinks are chilled... Finally, after a last check on the cabin's hygiene and a touch up on the attendants' own appearances, they are all set to await the arrival of the passengers.

When the passengers board the plane, the flight attendants must be ready to greet them at the respective working positions they are assigned. They must direct the passengers to their seats, help store their hand luggage in the overhead luggage storage cabins, escort passengers who need special assistance, such as the elderly, young, invalid, pregnant, persons with physical disabilities, to their seats.

After all the passengers are on board, the plane and all the carry-on luggage are stowed away, the cabin crew would begin to demonstrate the safety equipment features and procedures. This would be followed by the cabin safety check routine which includes: ensuring all the passengers' seat belts are fastened, their seat backs and tray tables are in full upright positions, window shades are put up, overhead cabins are shut tight, emergency exits and aisles are devoid of luggage, and of course, the passengers are reminded to turn off their mobile phones and all portable electronic devices. All these are duties of the cabin crew.

The galley crew would have to switch off the power supply in the kitchen galley, fasten every lock, push in all the beverage and meal carts, close the doors of the ovens and coat closets. By the time the check is completed, the plane is about to take off.

Five minutes after the plane has taken off, the galley crew would begin to make various announcements over the public address system and the cabin crew would begin to distribute newspaper, snacks and serviettes to the passengers. For flights exceeding one and a half hours, pre-meal beverages would be served.

That begins the meal service, followed by a round of drinks, and another round. Then, it would almost be time to clear the dining trays.

For some airlines, there are still other tasks to perform, like distributing souvenirs, issuing women's coats embarkation forms, list of items to declare at customs, health declaration forms, etc. Sometimes, the cabin crew would even need to assist some passengers in filling out these forms.

Finally, when all these are done, it is time again to go round the cabin with a serving tray to check on any needs the passenger may have, be it a drink to be served, dining trays to be collected; for passengers who are asleep, shut the reading lights and ventilation air ducts above them, put on a blanket for him or give her a pillow and for those who are awake, check if they would like to have their meals. All the while, looking out for trash to be picked up, needs to be attended to, and better still, spot the need even before the passenger asks for it and solve any problem passengers have.

By the time the plane descends, it is time to make a final compliance check, remind passengers to fasten their seat belts, return their seat backs and tray tables to the upright locked position, draw up the window shades. At the same time, the cabin crew would also have to ensure that the overhead hand-luggage storage compartments are locked and the emergency exits are cleared of luggage, so on and so forth. Only then, do the cabin crew get to take a breather on the cabin jump seats.

After the plane has completed landed and the cabin crew have sent off every disembarking passenger at their assigned positions, they would have to check through the cabin to make sure that no luggage are left behind. Only after that, is a flight considered as completed.

Parvovirus Is Most Deadly To Very Young Shih Tzu Puppies

I am so surprised at how many pet owners and would be pet/Shih Tzu owners do not know which vaccinations are mandatory for Shih Tzu puppies. In this article I will address only the importance of "extra" protection against the deadly canine disease of "parvovirus."

Canine parvovirus is everywhere in the environment. Puppies and this does include Shih Tzu puppies are extra susceptible to parvovirus. The disease usually hits puppies the hardest, although adults can contract the parvovirus disease the same, your Shih Tzu puppy is most vulnerable. It is wise to protect your Shih Tzu puppy against this debilitating, sometimes deadly canine disease.

Parvovirus is shed in the feces of an infected Shih Tzu or any canine species. If another Shih Tzu or any other canine species comes into oral contact with the infected feces, they become inoculated with the virus. The degree to which your Shih Tzu puppy is affected will depend upon its own individual immunity to the disease. If your Shih Tzu puppy's mother was properly vaccinated, she will transfer immunity to parvovirus in the colostrums or first milk. I always vaccinate all my adult Shih Tzu each year.

The maternal antibodi women's jackets es transferred through the Shih Tzu mother's milk to the Shih Tzu puppies may be present in the Shih Tzu puppy for up to 20 – 22 weeks. This does not mean the Shih Tzu puppy will be absolute immune to the parvovirus this entire time.

Most of the Shih Tzu puppy's maternal antibodies to other viruses commonly vaccinated against have disappeared by about 12 weeks, however, the maternal parvovirus antibodies do persist longer.

It is wise to ensure your Shih Tzu puppy is adequately protected against parvovirus no matter when its mother's antibodies begin to wear off. Your Shih Tzu puppy needs to be vaccinated every three weeks starting at about 8 weeks, until it is 20 – 22 weeks old. Keep your older Shih Tzu up-to-date on vaccines as well. As the Shih Tzu ages, or any canine species, their immune system may become impaired and this may leave them more susceptible to diseases.

In addition to proper vaccination of your Shih Tzu puppy, you also need to keep young Shih Tzu puppies isolated from other dogs and out of parks where they may come in contact with infected feces, until they have completed their series of vaccinations. This decreases their chances of being exposed to parvovirus.

Parvovirus Signs:

? Loss of appetite
? Lack of energy
? Vomiting or diarrhea (the vomitus or diarrhea may be bloody).

Since these signs can indicate many diseases, you will need to see your vet if your Shih Tzu puppy shows any of these. Young Shih Tzu puppies, less than three months of age, can become dehydrated quickly, and die easily if not treated promptly. There is a special test your vet can perform for the parvovirus.

As of this date, there is no drug available that kills parvovirus once the animal is infected. The Shih Tzu or any other canine animal will have to rid itself of the virus. In other words, once a Shih Tzu puppy has contracted parvovirus, the virus will need to runs it course through the Shih Tzu puppy's system. Supportive care is the main treatment of parvovirus infections.

Sick Shih Tzu puppies need to be given fluids if they are dehydrated. Secondary bacterial infections may also result. If an infection develops, antibiotics need to be administered to fight it. Sometimes it is necessary to be kept in a vet hospital setting throughout the course of the disease. Other times, the disease can be managed at home. It depends upon the severity and the recommendations of your vet.

Treatment for parvovirus may take a couple days up to several weeks. This also depends upon the individual animal's immune system, its age and the severity of the case.

It is highly important to clean up the living quarters of a Shih Tzu who has had parvovirus. Parvovirus can exist in the environment for long periods of time. Washing the Shih Tzu's area with bleach and water in a 1:30 dilution will kill the virus. Throw away all feeding and drinking bowls, and all toys that came in contact with the sick Shih Tzu. Bedding can be saved if you will wash it in the bleach solution, but better to just throw it all away to prevent further spread of the infection. Your Shih Tzu can be re-infected as well.

Discard all feces promptly, wear gloves and rinse your own hands with the bleach solution. Humans can spread the disease on their hands if they touch the feces. Very small amounts of fecal material on the Shih Tzu's coat can contain large numbers of viral organisms and can easily be transmitted to other dogs.

Although there are a number of diseases Shih Tzu puppies and other canine breeds are susceptible to acquiring, the parvovirus is the most deadly to very young Shih Tzu puppies. Take all precautions necessary to keep your Shih Tzu puppy safe from this disease.

You must look for ways that make it a profitable venture with the best possible returns. There are many ways to do this. Buying cheap property at courthouse auctions is one of them. Intelligent bidding may let you get hold of property for much less than what it is actually worth. A bit of cleaning and sprucing up the lawn and garden can greatly change the appearance and let you make a profit by selling it at a higher rate.

Or if you wish to make a long-term investment, you can hold it and earn rental income by giving it on rent to tourists, additionally saving yourself huge amounts of money, even though you may be occupying the property yourself during short non-rental spells. It will serve as an excellent holiday home for a family vacation in a fabulous place like Orlando and will make your friends envy you.

However, it is not impossible and just requires patience and persistent searching. Once you manage to acquire such a property, get all the electrical fixtures, plumbing, HVAC, doors, windows and fittings etc. checked for proper functioning and anything that needs repairs or replacement should be taken care of. Have it cleaned and give a coat of paint. A house in good order appeals easily to a renter and he may be happy to take it, even if the rent is a bit high.

In every case, locating a buyer, to sell your property for a price higher than the investment can get an immediate profit. Alternatively, letting it out for rental income always remains a viable and profitable option.

Remember, all the time you hold the property; your investment attracts the best returns through the rapid price appreciations of Orlando properties. What better way can there be, for planning your retirement? So even if you are thinking on those lines go ahead and shape your plans accordingly and you will reap rich rewards in the long run, for having made a prudent decision.

Therefore, any way that you look at it, making an investment in Orlando real estate creates a win- win situation for you.

Options in Designing Your Home Window Treatments

When we first moved into our new home three years ago the main objective with the windows was to cover them inexpensively. We knew we would later update as resources became more available but for now we were happy that the windows and blinds were in place for the privacy of our family. We put up plain white mini-blinds in every room except the kitchen. There we already had vertical blinds over the two door walls so we thought a valance over the one kitchen window would fair best.

Two years into living in our space women's coats I started to realize that a coat of dust lived on all of the blind that could not be removed unless I spent the entire day scrubbing which I was not willing to do. Right there and then I decided that I better start processing for windows and blinds that were not plastic or windows with curtains or windows with shades.

I decided the bedrooms were first in my window transportation. My daughter's room faces the river and knowing she chose this room only for the view I felt I needed to preserve that in her room. She is a sleeper that can sleep through anything light, dark, quiet or loud so I didn't have to consider options to block light or sound with her. We choose curtains that were shear and offered her the view while able to maintain privacy from the outside in. They had the greatest little sequences on them that helped to reflect the light in the room keeping the whole feel wide open. In our room I opted for wood roman shade. They were a natural option that blocked light and went with the dcor. When we feel like letting the light in they easily raise and lower. Our son's room was a bit trickier as he needs darkness and quiet. For him we found dark navy blue roman shades with a sound deflecting panel facing the outside.

The next room was the sitting room. The best part if this room is the cozy feeling it brings to our home. So we knew that any window treatment option had to maintain this. In order to accomplish this I knew I wanted a natural material in a darker tone but wanted the option to also open it up on nice spring days so the window treatment couldn't be too dark or hard to use. We opted for a lighter wood roman shade that had a loose weave pattern. This complemented the light, dark, cozy feel I was after.

The main living room has so much light and little privacy. That was a big problem for watching Saturday morning cartoons without the neighborhood looking in. I wanted to be able to create an environment of privacy that could be both light and dark. We choose curtains. We took a sheer brown curtain and used it as the base and picked thicker drapes that can be pulled back for the top. In the day we leave the brown sheers pulled but tie up the drapes. However at night when we are cozy ready to settle into relaxation we shut the drapes and block all the outside light out. It makes movies at nine so much nicer in the summer than having the light blare in. In Michigan it stays light out later in the spring and summer so often bedtime does not seem like bedtime. This option of light control really helps with this issue.

As you can see personal preference has a lot to do with windows and blinds, windows and curtains and windows with shades. It is a work in progress always. Even as I write this I think about different options that lay ahead for the two door walls. I don't imagine vertical blinds plaguing our home dcor for too much longer.

What You Condemn Or Admire In Others Talks About You

The human psyche seems to have a pendant for projecting our shortcomings onto others, but also our good traits.
Without the other we would not be able to know the self: they are our mirrors. If you want to know whether your hair looks great or if your new coat suits you, you take a look in the mirror. You need that mirror to be able to look at your outer appearance.

The same counts for your inner world. If you want to have a look at yourself inside, look into the mirror, which is other people : the traits you hate in them and the ones you love in them. This tells more about you than you think! In fact, you hate and love those traits which you pushed away into your shadow zone, which you decided you do not want to see (the negative traits you condamned as bad or no good), or those which you decided you don?t have (the positive traits, which you call good and which you would like to have but you think you do not have them).

In order to see inside yourself, look at what disturbs you in others and what you admire in others. All these traits are energies you pushed away and which you need to recover. That is why this bothers or attracts you now in your life.

What we condemn or detest in others are our own qualities that we do not want to face, but that we should be working at. This is called the negative projection. What you do not like in others, or even hate, is a part of yourself.

When the indifference of another person disturbs you, it means that you should be more indifferent yourself and stop to invest yourself for 100% everywhere and with everyone! This does not mean you have to become as indifferent, cold and distant as the other person, but that you should reintegrate a part of this energy in your own behavior, and become a little less involved in what you do. Too much involvment can hurt you. You need to learn in this case to take more care of yourself instead of being so focused on the other one.

If you are balanced on this polarity of indifference (one extreme) and too much involvment (the other extreme), than the indifference of the other won't bother you anymore. This counts for every trait that bothers you in others! You should integrate the energy of this trait in your energy field. This means to become a little bit more like the other (in this exemple : indifferent) and become the opposite to yourself (more involved in your own well being).

When you start to integrate the behavior that disturbs you in others, you will notice that this behavior doesn?t disturb you anymore. You simply do not notice it anymore. You have integrated this energy, so now you become neutral towards this topic.

When the aggressive behavior of a partner or colleagues is getting to you, then you may have to learn to say no, defend your ground and clearly mark the borders. The fact that the aggression in the behavior of somebody else disturbs you, means that you have hidden that energy away in your shadow side. You can reclaim that energy and develop it in other ways that support your balance in life.

This counts for every behavior in others that disturbs you. This is the fastest way to grow and to keep up with others at the same time!

On a scale of polarities, what you hate is the polarity you did not develop inside you and you should. Life showes you this in the behavior of the significant other. In stead of hating him or his behavior, observe, ask yourself what you have to learn, learn it, integrate (you become a better person, a whole, complete person) and the screen of life will show you a more balanced person!

In the same way, the good traits you admire in others are your own qualities that you do not know you have. You think you are lacking these talents and admire them thus in others. These qualities are present within yourself but they are under construction and also need developing. They are, however, a mirror image of your highest abilities. This is the positive projection.

Think of a male person and a female person you admire, and who you know in real life. Make a list of the qualities and traits you admire in them. Then read this list again and say out loud in front of each quality : I am...

Lets say you admire the elegance and the organizational skills of your best friend. This means you too have the capacity to organize your life and things and you too are beautiful, otherwise you would even not be able to see it in others! You do have the germ of these qualities inside, otherwise you wouldn?t be able to notice them.
This list clearly represents who you are. This is the truth about you. These qualities are INSIDE of you. They are merely waiting to be discovered, expanded and expressed.

You can do the same with people you do not know personally, like movie stars, singers, historical figures, politicians, mythical figures, fairies. List their qualities and read for yourself : I am...

In the beginning you are maybe sceptical, you do not want to believe you possess yourself these qualities. But have a closer look and admit the possibility of having these qualities inside you in the form of seeds that ne women's coats ed to be cultivated in order to blossom.

What you do not have inside yourself, you can not see in others!

The Perfect Personal Ad

Approach your advert by first listing your 10 top positive traits. Think about the qualitie fashion jackets s you appreciate in a person. What is it you look for in others? What do you think is your most appealing feature (bear in mind that everybody says "eyes")? Do you consider yourself to be intelligent with some degree of intellectual acumen? Then don't be scared to show it. Be careful though.

If you find yourself well beyond 10, with the list running away with itself, then you've probably unearthed the cause of your single life right there. No one likes a smart-arse, much less one who doesn't know when to stop talking about how great they are. Get over yourself for just a minute and you may just get a girlfriend:

Without love, it doesn't matter if you have all the qualifications in the world. Which I have. Please write for full list. I also have all the money in the world and look like Jude Law. Yes, I can provide a photo. M, 33, Ottershaw. When named I am the man apart. Box no. 4343.

Most personals focus on making the advertiser look attractive. This is absolutely correct, but making yourself attractive in a personal ad isn't always as important as making yourself seen. There's every likelihood that you'll be appearing on a page with 100 others, with each advertiser claiming to be desperately good- looking or intelligent.

Try to be different, don't just focus on physical attributes. Stand out from the crowd. If the ads collected in They Call Me Naughty Lola are testimony to anything, it's that standing out gets you read. Bear in mind, though, that "attractive" and "different" don't have to be contradictory terms:

My animal passions would satisfy any woman, if only it weren't for the filibustering of this damned colon. And the chafing of these infernal hospital sheets. Write now to M, 83, for ward visiting hours and a list of approved solids. Box no. 2377.

That said, approaching a personal ad isn't the same as getting dressed up for a date. Yes, first impressions last, but just because you might wear a slimming black number for that first wine-bar meeting doesn't mean you have to suck your gut in with your personal ad. What's the point of being euphemistic about yourself in the hope of getting someone to respond when your aim is actually to meet them? If your ad is successful then, presumably, they're going to find out that "cuddly" or "more to love" actually means you have to bathe in bed with a sponge on the end of a stick:

Hoxton salad-dodger (42 - my age and my waist; M, my sex not my coat size, that's strictly XL). WLTM chub-ster with an interest in red meat and mustardy dressings. Free first Tuesday of every month, Slimmer's World every Wednesday. Box no. 1275.

Finally, and keep this firmly in mind, there are certain things that should never be touched upon in a personal ad. For example, it's vulgar to mention income or debt. Mentioning that you're divorced is fine, but going into the details of the break-up and subsequent acrimony is most certainly out.

Similarly, court appearances and medical histories are absolutely to be avoided. How you came to be in a personal column in the first place - be it in the London Review of Books or elsewhere - will not intrigue the casual reader in quite the way you hope it will. For now at least, let's keep some of those skeletons firmly in the closet.

Hardwood Floors - How Do You Keep Them Looking Good?

With the upsurge over the last few ye women's jackets ars in the fitting of hardwood floors in the home, the question arises of how to care for them. Here are tips that will help keep your hardwood floor looking as good as the day it was laid down.

Hardwood floors have always been popular due to their durability - witness the number of school and church halls fitted with them - but only in the last five years or so have they become really popular in the home. Why should this be?

- Hardwood floors are easier to keep free of dust and dust mites than regular carpeting. For anyone with dust-related allergies, carpets can be a real no-no.

- Hardwood floors look terrific - no doubt of that; and with proper care should last virtually indefinitely.

- Hardwood floors add value to a property and increase it desirability over others not outfitted in the same way.

These three reasons alone are enough to have made thousands of homeowners throw out their carpeting and install hardwood flooring. There then comes the question - just how do I look after my hardwood floor and keep it looking like new?

Well, it does require a little effort but certainly no more than would be involved if carpets were fitted - vacuuming, shampooing and so forth. What should be realised is that hardwood flooring is a very durable material that, due to its organic nature, needs treating slightly differently to other flooring types.

For instance, a vinyl floor covering can be wet mopped to clean it without any problems at all. Try that with an untreated hardwood floor and you may well regret it: water can swell wooden planks and blocks, leaving you with a floor that suddenly looks as if it has a family of moles living beneath it!

So - don't overwet the floor. If you have to mop it, use a barely damp mop and ensure the room is well ventilated. It's a good idea to always vacuum first as well before mopping - grit particles under a mop will grind away at your beautifully finished wood surface, eventually dulling it and giving dirt an easier in.

If you aren't going to wax your hardwood floor, then a sealant coat, followed by a polish coat, is usually the best method of protecting your floor. For those homeowners who don't want a high-gloss floor there are satin and eggshell finish polishes available.

Maintenance of this type of floor finish is easily achieved using a small domestic polishing machine, available from most good janitorial supply companies. Although beyond the scope of this article, maintaining your hardwood floor with one of these polishers really is simplicity itself.

The trick to keeping the floor looking great is - clean it and polish it regularly and often. Don't let it get really dirty then have a crazy afternoon of cleaning - do it once or twice a week, depending on your circumstances and your hardwood floor will go on looking great for years to come.

Another tip - if you have decided to use a wax on your floor, use it very sparingly! Too much wax applied can result in an ugly build-up that will eventually darken your floor to such an extent that it will look terrible - and then it's a real uphill task to put it right, probably involving professional services. The best maxim for looking after hardwood flooring is 'treat it with respect' - look after it and it will keep your home looking its best!

Belgian Malinois Dog Breed Tips And Information

Originally there were as many as eight Belgian breeds of the same genetic inheritance that were used as herding dogs and drovers in Belgium and Germany. Through the years the Belgian Sheepdogs have been narrowed to four "types" or representatives. The Belgian Sheepdogs are represented in the American Kennel Club registry by the four types known as follows: the Groenedael, the Lakenois, the Malinois and the Tervuren.

The Belgian Malinois is one of the most well known of the Belgian breeds, having been used not only as a dog that will herd the flocks but having gained much recognition in the armed forces and with police units as a dog that is a great drug, narcotic and bomb detector. In Search and Rescue the dog has also shown that it has a great aptitude.

The Belgian Malinois at first may appear to look similar to that of a German Shepherd but a closer look reveals a dog that is of smaller proportion and has a somewhat "snipier" look to the head. The instinctive behaviors of a herding dog, being a protector and a drover, is the inheritance of the Belgian Malinois, but the reputation of the breed in modern times has become that of a highly respected and courageous police dog breed, a dog whose protective instincts of taking care of his "flock" have been channeled into a protective instinct to care for his human companion and "partner".

The character of the Belgian Malinois should be one of extreme loyalty to his master. He should be watchful and alert, ready to guard and protect but never being vicious. He can be and often is trained as an effective "attack dog" but should never demonstrate aggressive behavior, rather should behave exactly as commanded with speed and a steady temperament.

Increasingly these dogs have been used as detection dogs not only for their sense of smell which is highly regarded but also for their strong "prey drive", which when translated fashion coats online into "play drive" makes these dogs willing to perform for hours on end for a chance to play with their favorite "toy". Persons who enjoy the ring sport of Schutzhund often have found that the Belgian Malinois can be a top performer in this area and in the area of Obedience competitions.

The Belgian Malinois is a medium sized dog of moderate build. The coat is very similar in appearance and texture to that of the German Shepherd. His head is of "cleaner " lines than the Shepherd. The Malinois should be agile and quick, showing speed for short bursts and great power . He should move gracefully and have the ability to make sharp turns as any dog with herding abilities can.

The face often has a black mask and the color of the coat can range from shades of gray to red to black and tan, typically of a double pigment (where each lighter colored hair has a black tip). The coat is easy care, needing a brushing with a medium stiff brush regularly and an occasional bath, but it is not long enough to tangle or mat and sheds out easily. The breed generally exhibits few health problems, there is a propensity to hip and elbow dysplasia and the responsible breeders should x-ray for this condition before using the dog for breeding. Also CERF examinations should be undertaken on a regular basis.

Genetic Breakdown Of Genes That Control Labrador Retriever Coat Color

Determination of coat color within the Labrador Retriever breed can be a daunting task. Through years of breeding this breed of dog I have compiled much information. The question asked on a regular basis is..." what color will the puppies be ? " so I decided to pull all my knowledge together and explain the genes that determine the coat color as simply as possible. Below is a detailed description of the genes and their purpose. Just remember that "B" controls the color of coat and "E" regulates whether or not the color pigment will be deposited in the hair . You may have to read over this explanation a couple of times before the genes start making sense, but do not worry they will.

1. The coat color of Labrador Retrievers (Black, chocolate, or yellow) is controlled by two different genes B and E

2. The B controls the color of the coat, and is either B=Black or b=brown.

3. Each parent passes the offspring with the "B" gene or a "b" gene. Black is dominant .

4. BB = both dame and stud provide a Black gene

5. Bb = dame provides Black, stud provides brown; or vice versa

6. bb = both dame and stud provide a brown gene

7. A puppy with one or two "B's" will have a Black nose; one with two "b's" will have a brown nose

8. The E gene regulates whether the color pigment will actually be deposited in the hair, and is either "E" = permits pigment deposition, or "e" = prevents pigment deposition. each parent provides the offspring with either a women's coats n "E" gene or an "e" gene

9. Each parent provides the offspring with either an "E" gene or an "e" gene

10. EE = both dame and stud provide the gene permitting pigment deposition

11. Ee = dame provides the gene permitting deposition, stud provides the gene preventing deposition; or vice versa

12. ee = both dame and stud provide the gene preventing deposition

13. As a result, any Labrador retriever that has at least one "B" and one "E" (BBEE, BBEe, BbEE, or (BbEe) will be Black.

14. A Labrador retriever that has two "b's" and at least one "E" (bbEE or bbEe) will be brown.

15. A Labrador retriever that has two "e's," whether it has "B's" or "b's" (BBee, Bbee, or bbee) will be yellow.

16. The "e" gene does not prevent deposition of color in the nose or lips as it does in the coat. so, "BBee" and "Bbee" yellow Labs have Black noses and lips, while "bbee" yellow Labs have brown noses and lips.

In conclusion,? if you are interested to know what color genes your Labrador Retriever carries. Then attaining a DNA Profile Test Kit from a breed registration service such as the AKC, UKC, OR CKC is a very simple, cost effective way to achieve the task of knowing what gene colors your Labrador Retriever carries. The AKC test kit is called a "DNA Profile Test Kit" which comes with a swab, sterile container, instructions, and label for the registration number of the Lab. The procedure is very simple just swab the inside of the lab's mouth aquiring saliva, then label the container and seal it with the swab enclosed inside the container. This DNA Profile test will help you to further utilize and enhance the breeding program in use. With this test you now have another valueble resource in managing coat colors.
